Then, it is time for the color! Give yourself enough time for each coat of paint to dry before applying another one. With that being said, don’t wait too long in-between coats because this could cause your paint to dry out and start peeling off.
Next, choose your colors. If you want to match existing colors in the room, take pictures of them on your phone when they look their best (sunlight will make colors appear differently) so you can match the colors accurately.
Once you have painted your doors and windows, it’s time to add new hardware if desired. This is often a good way to make them look brand new! If you are painting white or light-colored furniture, use semi-gloss paint for better durability in high-traffic areas like hallways and entryways.
The most popular method for painting doors is to use an airless sprayer rather than brush and roller. An airless sprayer applies the paint quickly with very little mess compared to traditional methods of brushing on one coat at a time. A good-quality airless sprayer will have a self-priming pump, so do not skip this step.
